Enrollment Information
Thank you for considering enrolling your child at Concord Academy of Petoskey (CAP), an award-winning K12, arts-integrated Public School of Excellence (one of only 12 Schools of Excellence in the state of Michigan!). Research shows that arts-integrated learning opportunities lead to greater student achievement and to the strong development of lifelong learning skills. The arts are a terrific vehicle for engaging student learners of every age.
Concord Academy is a Michigan Public School of Excellence. As a public school, attendance at Concord is tuition free. Funding is derived primarily from the state aid grant in addition to State and Federal entitlement sources. Concord also relies on support from family and the community, plus contributions to education and the fine arts.
As a public school we accept all students. Students are admitted by the rules established of Michigan legislation allowing students to apply during open enrollment. This legislation also allows Concord Academy to cap our enrollment, keeping our class sizes and the student-to-teacher ratio as low as possible.
During open enrollment if more students apply than there is room available, order of admission is determined by a lottery draw. Siblings of current Concord students are given priority. After open enrollment, students are added as openings occur.
