            I have the pleasure of working with any student, Kindergarten through twelth grade, who needs some help in school.  I am part of the Learning Support Services Team here at Concord Academy-Petoskey.  I have been here, in one capacity or another, since CAP first opened its doors, (or rather started its first year out in a parking lot).  Before Concord opened, I spent thirteen years working with disabled adults in a work-activity center for Community Mental Health and before that, three years teaching elementary and high school special needs students in Indiana.

            As a Special Needs teacher, my students each have an individualized education plan, as mandated by federal law.  My philosophy is that EVERY student, regardless of his/her abilities and/or challenges should have an individualized education plan---no two students are the same; therefore, no two students learn the same way.  Here at Concord Academy-Petoskey we strive to make this a reality so that each and every student can learn to the best of his/her capabilities.
