I am a teacher of Language Arts and Social Studies in the 5th and 6th grades.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts degree in Reading Instruction from Michigan State University.  I have taught for over 30 years spending most of the my time with elementary students.  For a 9 year period I supervised student teachers at Saginaw Valley State University and also taught graduate and undergraduate courses in reading.  I have been teaching at Concord Academy Petoskey for 15 years and have taught in Bridgeport, MI, Leslie, MI, and at St. Francis Xavier in Petoskey.  I have two married children, four step-children, and 5 grandchildren with one on the way.  My hobbies are golfing, reading, traveling, and spending as much time with my family as I can!
