I'm passionate about education and helping young learners grow academically and personally! I earned my Associate of Arts degree from North Central Michigan College, then continued my studies in Elementary Education at Lake Superior State University and later earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.

Before joining Concord Academy Petoskey, I taught as a substitute teacher in the Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Alanson area public schools.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, traveling throughout the Upper Peninsula, playing sports, spending time at the beach, and reading. I'm thrilled to be part of the Concord Academy team and look forward to helping my students learn, grow, and thrive.

Hello! My name is Macy Doster, and I am the 2nd/3rd grade teacher this year! I have been working in schools for the last 6 years. Before that, I helped to manage natural resources. I have two cats named Ziggy and Clyde. I graduated from Grand Valley State University. I love to read, ski, and rock hunt! I’m looking forward to a wonderful school year!

This will be my first year teaching at Concord, but I have been a lifelong educator. My background includes teaching at camps, tutoring in college, and even teaching abroad in Japan. Most recently, I worked as an interventionist. It was during my time as a paraprofessional that I completely fell in love with the school setting. That passion drove me to take the plunge to become a certified teacher. I look forward to teaching 4th/5th grade this year!

On a personal note, I am married to my wonderful husband, Brad. We have five children: Sophia, Levi, Benjamin, Zachariah, and Hannah. Most of my days are spent cheering them on at their various sporting events! When I do find a rare moment of free time, you will usually find me outside tending to my garden, playing with my pets, or inside working on a puzzle.

My name is Angela Holmes and I am proud to continue serving our community as a Title 1 Teacher here at Concord Petoskey.

Having worked at this school for a number of years, I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a team that is so deeply dedicated to student growth. In my role as a Title 1 teacher, my primary mission is to provide targeted, supportive interventions that help our students bridge academic gaps and build lasting confidence. I firmly believe that the strongest safety net we can provide for our students is built on close collaboration between classroom teachers and intervention specialists. 

To share a little bit about myself outside of my intervention room, I am someone who really enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with my family. I live on a centennial Farm here in Petoskey and help my brother manage it. 

I am a mom to five and a grandma to seven kids. Children have always been my passion, and there is nothing more rewarding than helping them learn and discover new things.

I am ready to start my 11th year teaching. I will be teaching Special Education as well as theatre this year. Since starting special education training last year, I have loved helping all the kids learn the ways they do best, and I'm very excited to be working with these amazing kiddos again.

I'm really looking forward to teaching theatre this year! I've been involved in theatre all my life and have previously taught some theatre classes to small kids as well as adults. This is the first time teaching it in school, however, so I'm really excited about it. I believe that nothing can give a child more confidence and encouragement than the performing arts. Seeing them light up on stage is the best!
